Sit
Sombre silence

Away
From humanity
The Human Race
Small Feet Scamper

I want
Freedom and Solace
Escape

This is a word relation poem I wrote a while ago. I actually forgot about it until now, but found it fit enough for posting. It was written during one of my dark periods of sitting in my room, crammed in a corner, thinking how doomed the human race is and the pointlessness of life. Yup. Good old times.
Anyway, the reason I even told you that is it probably helps you grasp the direction of my thoughts, as that can often times be difficult with these "Related Word" Poems. So basically, how it works (and you all should try this because it's fun), is you pick a word and then keep writing either words or related combinations of words down like a list (those who know me well are familiar with my fondness for lists XD). The first step is really just writing whatever words are sparked by the word before it (ex: tree - leaves - branches - sunlight - filter - blue sky...) and then the next would be to go back through and edit out the words that no longer fit, or replace them with other words that sound better, have more flow, or are more provoking for the reader.
If any of you DO try this poem style (it's also a great writing exercise!), drop me a link to it in the comment please!! I'd love to see what you come up with
